LIBRARY UPGRADATION PROJECT 2024-2027
Overall Goal
We all want our church to grow but the secret is that if we take care of the health of theChurch, the growth is automatic. Keeping this purpose in mind, we have been investing on a strong Theological Library.
Library Goal
The minimum books required in our Library is 10,000 copies, which is the standard requirement suggested by Asia Theological Association (ATA) which is a MDiv, BTh, and CTh degree accrediting body for Hariyo Kharka (Green Pasture).
At present we only have around 2000 books in the Library Shelf and few thousand soft copies in our Library Computers. We still need 8000 hard copies of books more and therefore; we have made a 3 years target (April 2024- March 2027) to meet this library needs so that we will be qualified for ATA accreditation and run the training programs smoothly.
From Where will we get the books?
We will request organizations like Langham and World Book Trust to help us by supplying books to us.
We will also raise funds to buy books. The price of the Books varies and some good books will be purchased in second hand also. Some rare books and even books in soft copy can also be photocopied (if there is no copyright issue).
We will request pastors and leaders (local and global) to share from their personal libraries
Planned Period of Implementation
April 2024 to March 2027
Target Group
The target groups are the students studying with us, local believers and pastors/leaders of the churches in the Himalayan region and outside. They need to be healthy nurtured and trained so that they would do the same multiplying the process of discipleship and leadership building.
Sustainability Factors
Hariyo Kharka looks forward to be self-sustainable in the future, and most of the activities we are investing on; MDiv program, Library, FFS devotional, counseling department and infra structure, if managed well, would fetch income and help Hariyo Kharka towards sustainable management. We envision our library to be self-sufficient and self-sustainable by 2027
